MANILA — The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has placed its operations on full alert for the 2026 Feast of Jesus Nazarene, rolling out a massive deployment of more than 1,200 staff and volunteers as millions of devotees gather in Manila.
According to the PRC Operations Center update as of 11:00 p.m., January 8, 2026, the image of the Black Nazarene is currently at the Quirino Grandstand, where emergency teams are providing round-the-clock medical coverage amid heavy crowd density. Latest patient update:
